Robotics Engineer (Industrial Automation & Manufacturing)

Location: 100% on-site in Conroe, Texas, United States

What you will do

• Design, program, test, and commission industrial robotic systems using platforms such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman, or Universal Robots.
• Configure end-of-arm tooling, machine vision systems, sensors, safety devices, and peripheral automation equipment.
• Integrate robots with PLCs, HMIs, conveyors, industrial networks, and plant safety systems in collaboration with Controls Engineers.
• Optimize robot trajectories and cycle times while troubleshooting robotic faults and supporting active manufacturing lines.
• Manage small-to-medium automation and capital equipment projects with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.
• Lead root-cause analysis, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and downtime.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 3–7 years of professional industrial robotics experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent Chinese and English communication is required for technical collaboration and vendor coordination.
• Hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting industrial robots.
• Working knowledge of PLC integration, industrial networking protocols, and manufacturing plant support.
• Experience with project management and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, cross-functional communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in heavy manufacturing, energy equipment production, or automotive fabrication.
• Expertise in robotic welding, advanced machine vision, collaborative robots, or offline simulation software such as SprutCAM.
• Software development experience with Python or C#.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification, including Green Belt or Black Belt.
