Systems Engineer II (Microsoft Azure)

Location: US-Remote with scheduled on-site support across regional facilities and offices

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, secure, and support hybrid cloud and on-premises enterprise infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft 365 commercial and GCC High environments, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Azure infrastructure, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Intune.
• Manage Aruba wireless infrastructure, Aruba Central, Fortinet firewalls, IPSec VPNs, Azure networking, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and site deployments.
• Implement cybersecurity controls for CMMC Level 2 compliance, monitor vulnerabilities, manage patches, and coordinate remediation.
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, asset inventory, CMDB accuracy, migrations, acquisitions, office buildouts, and vendor coordination.
• Perform Tier 2/3 root-cause analysis, provide after-hours maintenance and incident response, and author Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in systems and network engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, GCC High, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and Aruba wireless infrastructure or Aruba Central.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and switching.
• Technical documentation and troubleshooting skills, including complex infrastructure root-cause analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to collaborate with IT, cybersecurity teams, executive stakeholders, and third-party vendors and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting defense contractors or government-regulated environments, including NIST 800-171 or CMMC.
• Microsoft AZ-104, CompTIA Security+, Fortinet NSE 4/5, or Aruba ACMA/ACMP certification.
