Senior QA Engineer

Location: Remote (US)

Base salary: $140,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of test cases, plans, and scripts for features and releases.
• Coordinate testing across web UI, mobile apps, APIs, backend services, and multiple environments.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Validate data quality and transformations across data pipelines and Data Lakes, including AI/ML model outputs.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams on CI/CD integration, coverage, defect metrics, and release readiness.
• Mentor QA engineers and manual testers while driving regression, smoke, performance, and compliance testing.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software QA experience, including 3–5 years in a senior or lead QA role.
• Programming knowledge in TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience with automated UI/API testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or Protractor.
• Experience with mobile app test automation and data-quality testing in cloud environments such as AWS, Redshift, or S3.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend validation.
• Exposure to AI/ML product testing or model-verification workflows.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, coordination, collaboration, adaptability, and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow QA best practices, including HIPAA and health-tech regulatory standards.

Nice to have

• Backend development experience with Node and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Advanced SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience with Apache Airflow, Luigi, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• Experience in health tech, digital health, or telehealth platforms.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards.
• Experience with TestRail, Zephyr, Jira, JMeter, k6, or Postman for load testing.
