Network Engineer

Location: Goodyear, AZ, United States; onsite position

What you will do

• Design, deploy, configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, telecommunications, and network infrastructure.
• Manage PBXs, call management systems, voicemail, interactive voice response, video conferencing, and voice/data software.
• Create network documentation, configuration records, policies, procedures, training materials, and disaster recovery plans.
• Monitor network and telecom performance, capacity, traffic, security, backups, and recovery; produce related reports.
• Research and deploy network products and upgrades, manage assets, and coordinate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors.
• Diagnose and resolve escalated network and telecommunications issues, including service desk tickets and infrastructure changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field required.
• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards.
• Strong hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
• Experience with LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation.
• Experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and network management best practices.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience and competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits.
• Excellent knowledge of telephony systems.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws, plus an understanding of organizational goals and objectives.

Nice to have

• Cisco CCNA certification.
