Assistant Director, Sourcing & Procurement

Location: Milwaukee, WI Corporate; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $108,160–$162,240 annually; geographic-specific structures may apply, including $118,960–$178,440 and $124,400–$186,600.

What you will do

• Establish vendor strategies, goals, and execution plans for critical, high-risk, and strategic relationships with senior leaders and enterprise teams.
• Advise executive relationship owners and identify sourcing opportunities across strategic vendor relationships and enterprise needs.
• Lead sophisticated, sensitive, technology-focused contract negotiations and develop contracts with Legal, Risk, Privacy, and Security.
• Manage cross-departmental projects covering scope, risk, business value, schedules, and budgets.
• Research vendor-management trends, address regulatory and compliance expectations, and implement process, workflow, organizational, and system improvements.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to vendor managers, with potential responsibility for at least one direct report.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Legal, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum eight years of leadership experience in financial services, preferably involving sourcing, vendor management, or strategic vendor negotiations.
• Ability to build influential relationships, communicate a vision, persuade varied audiences, guide senior-leader decisions, and manage numerous priorities.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, financial analysis and modeling, research, analytical problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Experience with contract development and execution.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint storytelling, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to discuss technology with business partners and use a strategic, consultative approach supported by data and market intelligence.

Nice to have

• Technical acumen related to infrastructure and software services.
• Software or infrastructure category experience, although related sourcing-category experience may be transferable.
• MBA or JD.
