Cyber Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Hybrid/onsite in Birmingham, Atlanta, Nashville, or Charlotte; regular full days in the office three or more days per week. Applicants must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States. Regions does not provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.

Salary: $134,275.35–$176,000 USD annual target range.

What you will do

• Design, implement, administer, troubleshoot, patch, and maintain cybersecurity and cloud security technology solutions.
• Lead research, proof-of-concept evaluations, technology selection, and complex implementation projects.
• Analyze security architecture, technology standards, build-versus-buy options, risks, controls, metrics, and governance requirements.
• Support compliance with risk management programs, regulations, cybersecurity practices, and disciplined change management.
• Participate in on-call support and may lead security incident response activities and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with management, project teams, business areas, and vendors while mentoring team members and supporting technical development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus ten years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security and/or Information Technology.
• Advanced knowledge of modern security tools, controls, defense in depth, trust levels, privileges, and permissions.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies, cloud technologies, enterprise architecture, and network architecture.
• Advanced analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop solutions to complex issues.
• Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance.
• Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and work independently, with strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in the office three or more days per week at one of the available U.S. locations.
• Must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a Cyber Security or Information Security organization within the financial services industry.
• Applicable certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or MCSA.
• At least four years of experience supporting implementation and maintenance of cloud security tools in a regulated environment.
