Junior System Verification Test Engineer (Carrier Ethernet)

Location: Gdynia, Poland; hybrid work with office presence in Gdynia 3 days per week

What you will do

• Learn hirify.global products, system verification processes, and the laboratory environment.
• Build and configure test setups using hirify.global and third-party routers, switches, traffic generators, and analyzers.
• Execute functional, regression, and end-to-end tests based on existing test plans.
• Analyze results and logs, document procedures and configurations, and report defects in tracking systems.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce defects and verify fixes.
• Gradually develop test cases and automated tests with Python and Robot Framework.

Requirements

• Degree or final-year studies in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic understanding of computer networks, including the OSI model, Ethernet, IP addressing, and TCP/UDP.
• Basic Linux and command-line skills, or willingness to learn them quickly.
• Analytical mindset, curiosity, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Good written and spoken English at least B2.

Nice to have

• Hands-on networking practice from studies, internships, a home lab, courses, Cisco Networking Academy, or CCNA.
• Basic programming or scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
• Software testing or QA experience, including test case writing, bug reporting, test management, or bug tracking.
• Familiarity with Wireshark or other network troubleshooting tools.
