Senior Network Engineer (Cisco ISE)

What you will do

• Plan, design, implement, troubleshoot, and support network infrastructure for manufacturing and Operational Technology environments.
• Develop OT network requirements and designs covering IP addressing, segmentation, redundancy, availability, resiliency, maintainability, and cybersecurity.
• Administer and optimize Cisco ISE and enterprise Network Access Control, including authentication, authorization, posture, endpoint profiling, and access-control policies.
• Support Cisco ISE integrations with Active Directory, PKI/certificate services, and wired and wireless infrastructure, including AAA troubleshooting and lifecycle maintenance.
• Manage network architecture, documentation, requirements, WAN circuit provisioning, equipment and services, project schedules, budgets, outages, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
• Manage service providers, carriers, vendors, and third-party installations to meet business requirements, SLAs, service levels, quality, and cost-efficiency goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, computers, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise network engineering or a related functional role.
• Demonstrated experience planning, designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure in manufacturing, industrial, or OT environments.
• Strong hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Cisco ISE, including posture, profiling, authentication, authorization, endpoint compliance, and access policies.
• Strong knowledge of NAC technologies and concepts, including 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, EAP-TLS, MAB, endpoint profiling, authentication, authorization, and access policy management.
• Experience integrating Cisco ISE with Microsoft Active Directory, PKI/certificate services, and enterprise wired and wireless infrastructure.
• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, QoS, VoIP, routing and switching, OSPF, BGP, WAN technologies, wired and wireless LANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, monitoring, and logging.
• Demonstrated experience designing and supporting redundant, highly available network environments, plus strong troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills when working with technical teams, manufacturing stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-availability OT network architectures, manufacturing equipment, industrial systems, OT devices, and 24x7 production environments.
• Advanced Cisco ISE experience, including CoA, downloadable ACLs, Cisco TrustSec, Security Group Tags, pxGrid, distributed deployments, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, certificate management, monitoring, and system health.
• Experience coordinating OT implementations with manufacturing engineering, controls teams, equipment vendors, system integrators, facilities, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
• Experience managing network service providers, vendors, deliverables, service outcomes, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Cisco professional-level certification such as CCNP Enterprise; equivalent demonstrated experience is also considered.
