Staff Mobile Core Signalling Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain mobile Core Network services using Diameter, SIGTRAN, SS7, and related signalling technologies.
• Support onboarding of connectivity partners and roaming integrations.
• Troubleshoot signalling and connectivity issues, analyse incidents and performance bottlenecks, and improve recovery times.
• Design resilient, highly available, multi-region, and disaster-resilient services.
• Improve load balancing, rate limiting, overload protection, traffic management, observability, monitoring, and operational readiness.
• Drive cloud-native migration initiatives and reduce operational toil through automation.

Requirements

• Strong background in mobile core networks and experience developing and maintaining network services.
• Deep understanding of Diameter, SIGTRAN, SS7, GSM/LTE core concepts, and roaming architectures.
• Experience with HLR, HSS, SMSC, STP, DRA, and related components.
• Experience with telecom protocol testing and debugging, telecom vendors, and roaming partners.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex signalling and connectivity issues.
• Experience with load balancing, rate limiting, overload protection, monitoring, observability, and incident analysis.
• Interest in automation and reducing operational toil.

• 5G Standalone Core experience.
• IoT connectivity experience.
• eSIM or SIM management platform experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native systems.
• Good AWS knowledge.
