Intern, Software Engineer (Defense Tech)

What you will do

• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts to software development.
• Develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system designs with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of tactical radio equipment.
• Develop software test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
• Use modeling tools to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
• Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and repair defects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
• Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens; positions requiring classified access may involve government security investigations and eligibility checks.
• Ability to work the 9/80 schedule: nine workdays every 14 days, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off.

Nice to have

• Experience with one or more of C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows, .NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, real-time controls, wireless, software security, robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, or embedded systems.
