Backend Developer (Go)

Location: Lysaker, Norway. Candidates must have the right to work in Norway or within the EU/EEA; relocation and visa sponsorship from outside this area are not supported.

What you will do

• Build and operate high-performance backend services for virtual fencing and livestock monitoring.
• Process, analyze, and transform large volumes of real-time data collected from animals in the field.
• Own features and initiatives, contribute to technical decisions, and improve platform scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with hardware, embedded systems, backend, and frontend specialists.
• Support operational excellence through observability, metrics, tracing, and logs.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience with Go.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Informatics, or Engineering.
• Right to work in Norway or within the EU/EEA; relocation and visa sponsorship from outside this area are unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience developing IoT products.
• Experience with AWS.
• Fluency in Norwegian; exceptions may be made for exceptional candidates.
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Real-life experience with farming or agriculture.
