Senior SEO Manager (AI Search)

What you will do

• Manage SEO strategy and optimization across 3–5 client accounts, including local and ecommerce websites.
• Implement and prioritize technical, content, architecture, keyword, and website recommendations aligned with Google best practices and client goals.
• Manage local listings at scale, audit directory data, resolve duplicates and inconsistencies, and measure local visibility and engagement.
• Build local reputation programs covering review generation, response guidance, escalation workflows, and review performance analysis.
• Develop SEO strategies for AI-powered search and answer experiences, monitor citations and visibility, and convert findings into actionable recommendations.
• Communicate results to clients, create reports and presentations, support sales and proposal delivery, identify growth opportunities, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• 4+ years of client SEO experience in an agency environment, including 1–2 years of client-facing experience.
• Experience leading SEO strategy for local and ecommerce clients, including multi-location or service-area businesses, local listings, and location-level performance measurement.
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research and website architecture, plus experience with keyword research/data-mining tools and competitive analysis.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, internet tools, and content marketing fundamentals.
• Experience working directly on websites.
• Proven project management and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet and exceed deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of online review and reputation workflows, including response practices, escalation, and performance analysis.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted search and LLM-based discovery, including the ability to assess opportunities without overstating what current measurement can prove.
• Ability to connect local and AI-search recommendations to client goals, prioritize work across multiple accounts, learn quickly, collaborate proactively, and manage workload effectively.

Nice to have

• General knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, or Magento.
