Technical Project Manager (Databricks)

Location: Remote; EU candidates only. Budapest, Hungary is listed as the job location.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end delivery of enterprise-wide data platform implementations built on Databricks.
• Run sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies for data engineering and data science teams.
• Track budgets, optimize compute costs, and manage risks involving data quality and pipeline bottlenecks.
• Translate C-level business requirements into technical execution and align business stakeholders with technical teams.
• Partner with Product Owners and Data Architects to refine and prioritize the technical roadmap.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager or Advisory Consultant, including complex data or cloud projects.
• Strong understanding of foundational AI and data platform concepts.
• Knowledge of the architectural components of Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience at a Big4 or top-tier technology consulting firm.
• Hands-on exposure to Spark, Delta Lake, or MLOps tools.
• Enterprise implementation experience in ERP, CRM, Core Banking, or BSS/OSS.
• Experience in consulting sales or public-sector projects.
• Deep business understanding of at least two sectors: Banking, Telco, Energy, Insurance, Retail, or Production.
• Strong people management skills and the ability to review and correct technical subject-matter experts' work.
