Government Lands, Senior Advisor

Location: Hybrid in Pomona, California; employees must work and reside in California, report to an SCE facility for a set number of days, and may be assigned to an alternate location for an extended period.

Salary: $143,900–$215,800 per year.

What you will do

• Develop government land strategies, master plans, land-use frameworks, and actionable programs aligned with policy and legislation.
• Advise executives and senior leaders on complex government land matters, risks, regulatory changes, and legal requirements.
• Manage end-to-end land acquisition, rights verification, negotiations, and closeout for federal and state agency work and major T&D capital projects.
• Negotiate and execute Master Service Agreements, Cost Recovery Agreements, Special Use Permits, Road Use Permits, and Service Level Agreements.
• Manage specialized Department of Defense, DOE, NASA, and Veterans Affairs land portfolios, including military rights analysis, work requests, and emergency notifications.
• Drive process improvements, tool development, property management systems, and oversight of contingent workers supporting agency requests.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience performing right-of-way or real property transactions and real estate acquisitions.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Ability to protect company assets and properly manage sensitive customer, proprietary, medical, financial, and cybersecurity information with integrity.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Economics.
• Experience working with federal and state governmental agencies, tribal lands, and military installations.
