College Intern – Hardware Test Automation & AI Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Support hardware qualification and validation activities in the LaserJet Hardware R&D Lab.
• Develop scripts and tools for hardware test execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Explore and prototype AI tools and agents for test planning, data analysis, summarization, troubleshooting, and dashboard development.
• Analyze and visualize engineering test data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with hardware and test engineers to develop, validate, document, and support adoption of automation and AI solutions.
• Contribute to product quality, test efficiency, and digital innovation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Available for a full-time internship of at least 6 months, starting around May 2027.
• Programming experience in Python, SQL, R, LabVIEW, or similar languages.
• Exposure through coursework or projects to test automation, data analytics, machine learning, generative AI, or AI agent development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in applying software and AI to real-world engineering challenges.
• Ability to interpret data, identify insights, and communicate findings effectively.
• Learning agility, collaboration, digital fluency, and a passion for innovation.
• Comfort working in a multidisciplinary environment involving hardware, software, data, and AI technologies.
