What you will do

• Review refrigerated and temperature-controlled cargo documentation, including reefer temperature logs, condition records, and inspection reports.
• Assess finished-vehicle and food transport evidence to determine cargo condition, damage causation, and potential losses.
• Conduct remote assessments of container integrity, cargo securing methods, lashing arrangements, hatch covers, sealing, weatherproofing, and compliance using photographs and shipment documentation.
• Identify inconsistencies, damage indicators, and risks in cargo inspection and transportation documentation.
• Prepare detailed surveyor findings, damage assessments, and causation explanations using professional reporting standards.
• Provide structured, evidence-based written feedback for AI training and evaluation projects focused on cargo logistics and compliance.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience as a cargo surveyor or in a closely related cargo inspection and assessment role.
• Specialized experience in at least one of the following: reefer and temperature-controlled cargo surveying, containerized cargo inspection, cargo securing and lashing, marine cargo surveying, finished-vehicle logistics inspection, or food and perishable goods transport auditing.
• Ability to review and interpret photographs, inspection logs, damage reports, and shipment documentation.
• Strong understanding of cargo condition assessment, damage identification, and causation analysis.
• Experience preparing professional surveyor reports and documenting technical findings.
• Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical conclusions clearly and professionally.
• Ability to work independently and deliver accurate assessments within project deadlines.
