Senior AI/ML Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote from anywhere in Vietnam; locations listed as Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate production AI/ML systems for user experience and business outcomes.
• Develop scalable ML pipelines on Databricks and AWS for ingestion, feature engineering, training, evaluation, serving, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
• Build agentic workflows combining models, tools, and data for planning, tool use, structured outputs, and failure handling.
• Optimize model training and inference for latency and cost through profiling, architectural improvements, TensorRT, quantization, and batching.
• Establish offline evaluation, online A/B testing, quality guardrails, fairness, bias mitigation, and responsible AI practices.
• Lead cross-functional AI/ML delivery, improve AI-enabled engineering workflows, measure impact, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on machine learning systems, model development, or ML infrastructure.
• Proven experience deploying AI/ML solutions at scale in production.
• Experience in at least one specialized ML domain: search, recommendation systems, NLP, computer vision, or generative AI.
• Experience owning end-to-end AI/ML project delivery, including technical design, cross-functional collaboration, and operational readiness.
• Experience using Cursor, Copilot, Codex, or similar AI coding assistants for development, debugging, testing, and refactoring.
• Familiarity with LLM-powered productivity tools for documentation search, experiment analysis, SQL, data exploration, and engineering workflow improvement.
• Experience integrating AI tools to improve engineering efficiency or code quality, or redesign workflows with measurable impact.
• Ongoing development of AI skills, including prompt and context engineering or agent orchestration, and awareness of new AI technologies.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills; good written and verbal English communication.
• Primary technical stack: Python, Databricks, Spark, MLflow, Unity Catalog, AWS, SageMaker, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Qdrant, TensorRT, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LLM APIs, and agent frameworks.
