Facilities Manager

Location: Vancouver, Canada; on-site workplace leadership required

Salary: CAD 77,120–115,700 per year

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operation, maintenance, inspections, reliability, and service quality for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, building automation, fire-life-safety, and applicable lab support systems.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance, work orders, asset records, contractor response, facility deficiencies, and emergency or business continuity response.
• Coordinate safety programs, regulatory inspections, fire-life-safety testing, emergency preparedness, drills, Permit-to-Work procedures, and contractor controls with EHS.
• Lead hard and soft service vendors, including scopes of work, bids, service agreements, KPIs, purchasing, renewals, invoices, and performance resolution.
• Deliver renovations, HVAC and lighting upgrades, automation improvements, and complex multi-phase capital or operational projects.
• Own OPEX and CAPEX planning, forecasts, business cases, reporting, workplace services, employee amenities, and collaboration with EHS, IT, Security, HR, Procurement, property management, and local business groups.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of progressively responsible facilities, corporate workplace, building operations, or property management experience, including independent site leadership, complex projects, budgets, and vendor performance accountability.
• Working knowledge of commercial building systems, preventive maintenance, safety procedures, contractor management, and emergency response.
• Experience with CMMS platforms, Microsoft Office, KPI reporting, budgeting, and project coordination; ServiceNow is preferred.
• Strong communication, judgment, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and lead through influence.
• A bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is considered.

Nice to have

• Experience in corporate technology or lab environments, multi-site operations, and energy-efficiency initiatives.
• CFM, FMP, or comparable credentials.
