Radio Frequency Software Engineer 1 (C++/Linux/Python/DSP)

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD; U.S. citizenship required

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Design and implement DSP algorithms in software for high-throughput signal exploitation.
• Develop solutions involving low signal-to-noise ratio, higher-order, and/or adaptive modulations.
• Modify existing software and/or firmware to adapt COTS and GOTS products to special government needs.
• Explain developed models so engineering team members can understand and use signal-processing models and algorithms.

Requirements

• Currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Four years of experience as a DSP algorithm developer on projects using similar software processes.
• Four years of experience with C++, Linux, Python, or a similar development language.
• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline in DSP algorithms from an accredited college or university is required.
• Two years of experience may substitute for a Master of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Four additional years of DSP experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Required technical skills include C++, Linux, Python, and DSP algorithms.
