Senior Software Engineer (Java/Spring)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; this position is based out of Plano, TX.

What you will do

• Develop scalable backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework.
• Build responsive UI components with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Design microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven components using layered and client-server architectures.
• Deliver cloud-ready solutions with AWS services including S3, DocumentDB, Aurora, and Amazon MSK.
• Deploy Dockerized applications to Amazon EKS and support CI/CD with Jenkins and Artifactory.
• Write tests, document APIs with Swagger, participate in architecture sessions and peer reviews, and support production systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design and Object-Oriented Design.
• Experience with EKS, S3, MSK, DocumentDB, and ElastiCache.
• Background in microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native design.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, caching, real-time streaming, Docker, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory, and Git.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing and API testing tools, including JUnit and Mockito.
• Must have the right to work in the United States and must not require hirify.global support or sponsorship for immigration-related employment now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Corretto, Netty, Tomcat, or embedded server configurations.
• Familiarity with Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
• Exposure to Ready API and service-level test automation.
