Software Engineer III (React Native)

Location: Denver, CO, United States; primarily seated work with extensive computer and telephone use.

Salary: $97,200–$135,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility based on individual and company performance.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and support new and existing business applications in client-server and web-based environments.
• Build and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android, including coding, unit and functional testing, debugging, and defect resolution with Quality Assurance.
• Lead design meetings, collaborate with software architects, define system modules and data layouts, and document functional and design specifications.
• Work with business owners, IT support, network, technical services, leadership, and product stakeholders to deploy, demonstrate, troubleshoot, and improve applications.
• Work within an agile methodology, perform scrum master duties, and help establish coding, review, and design policies.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct technology training, research problem-solving methods, and evaluate and responsibly validate AI-assisted development tools and outputs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years of related industry experience.
• Expertise in React Native with a proven record of building and maintaining mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
• Proficiency in React and strong familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Figma, backend services, REST APIs, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, branching strategies, testing frameworks, test-driven development, and automated QA practices.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring, mobile analytics, and observability tools.
• Proficiency with enterprise relational databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; demonstrated cross-department collaboration and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
• Recognized subject-matter expertise in software tools and release processes.

Nice to have

• Previous healthcare or insurance industry experience.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
• Exposure to HIPAA compliance, secure data exchange, and healthcare interoperability.
