Staff Engineer (Integrations / Supply, Air Travel)

Location: Fully remote, Europe preferred; work in a European time zone with about two hours of difference acceptable. About eight hours online is expected, with some overlap with US time zones.

hirify.global builds a platform for offline travel agencies covering CRM, finance and accounting, travel operations, and travel-supply integrations, with a current focus on air travel.

What you will do

• Own the integrations and supply direction as technical lead for one of five platform streams, reporting to the CTO.
• Build integrations with GDS systems, airline direct APIs, and non-GDS supply protocols.
• Implement post-sale servicing for changes, cancellations, refunds, and split group bookings.
• Design reliable real-time booking and availability workflows, including idempotency to prevent duplicate purchases and costly errors.
• Shape technical vision with founders and business stakeholders, turn platform capabilities into features, and provide estimates.
• Lead the existing two-person team and build and direct AI coding-agent teams.

Requirements

• Staff- or senior-level experience as an architect and technical lead, with ownership of a large product area.
• About two or more years of travel-domain experience, especially integrations with travel-supply systems.
• Understanding of booking versus ticketing and the related statuses and states.
• Experience owning a complete technical direction and communicating effectively with business stakeholders.
• Ability to use AI beyond the beginner level and explain effective AI development practices.
• Ability to work effectively in small teams and take full responsibility for delivery.
• Russian is required for engineering communication; English at B2 level is sufficient for business communication.
• Availability to work in a European time zone is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in both corporate and lean startup environments, a bootstrap scaleup, or as a hands-on founder or small-company CTO.
• Experience running teams of AI agents rather than only using an agent to write a feature.
• Vendor-side experience building products for end users.
• Python experience; Python is the current main stack, but language expertise is not essential.
