Northland Total Loss Associate Claim Representative

Annual base salary: $42,200–$69,700

What you will do

• Participate in training on claim processes, systems, and procedures.
• Assist under supervision with reviewing and resolving private passenger automobile, heavy equipment, and business insurance total loss claims.
• Control damages and expenses using cost-containment tools, including storage, rental, and mitigation measures.
• Manage total loss settlements, deductibles, limits, and rental expenses with appraisers, rental facilities, body shops, and salvage vendors.
• Communicate claim status, gather titles, keys, and other supporting documents, and help negotiate and settle claims.
• Maintain accurate claim records and obtain relevant insurance licenses within three months of starting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Previous internship or work experience in insurance, finance, or customer service.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Exceptional customer service skills and commitment to a positive experience for insureds and claimants.
• Sound judgment, effective decision-making, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
