Senior AI Architect Finance (AI)

Location: Hybrid — must work from the downtown Seattle, WA office 4 days per week.

Salary: $166,000–$258,000 annual.

hirify.global Finance is developing AI-driven infrastructure to automate and govern financial reporting.

What you will do

• Architect and build end-to-end AI infrastructure for automated financial reporting, including agent orchestration, data pipelines, model integration, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Prototype and ship production-grade AI agents and pipelines using LLM APIs, retrieval systems, and workflow orchestration tools.
• Design for traceability, reproducibility, reliability, auditability, and financial controls.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Controllership, Accounting, Data Platform, Data Governance, Security, Risk, Internal Audit, and Compliance teams.
• Define which reporting activities can be automated and where human review and sign-off must remain.
• Set applied-AI architecture standards, evaluate tooling and models, mentor engineers, and guide roadmap decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering, data engineering, or applied AI/ML experience, including production experience building and deploying AI systems.
• Hands-on expertise in LLM application design, agent orchestration and workflow frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt/context engineering.
• Strong data engineering fundamentals, including pipeline design, data quality, and integration with enterprise data platforms such as BigQuery or equivalent cloud data warehouses.
• Direct experience with, or the ability to quickly learn, financial reporting concepts and controls, including close processes, reconciliation, variance analysis, and GAAP-adjacent reporting requirements.
• Experience operating simultaneously as a technical architect and individual contributor, setting direction while building systems.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to translate technical AI concepts for Finance leaders and Finance requirements for engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
