Senior Software Engineer (Python/AI)

Location: 100% remote within the USA

Salary: $125,011–$187,517 USD annualized

What you will do

• Design and implement Python solutions using AWS cloud services.
• Develop AI and LLM-based workflows and an in-house agentic orchestration framework.
• Create proofs of concept, prototypes, data-analysis solutions, and scalable production applications.
• Build and maintain secure, extensible APIs, microservices, workflows, and supporting tools.
• Apply security best practices, testing, peer review, and troubleshooting throughout development.
• Collaborate in an Agile remote team, share knowledge, and solve complex problems independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 5+ years in backend development; comparable experience may substitute for the degree.
• 5+ years writing production-level Python APIs and applications.
• Experience with architectural design and documentation of complex systems.
• 2+ years developing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or other LLM frameworks.
• Experience designing, deploying, and tuning production systems with AWS.
• Proficiency with APIs, microservices, asynchronous tasks, ORMs, and task queues.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and tuning Linux-based systems.
• Proficiency in unit, integration, and functional testing; enthusiasm for Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, diverse team, communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues, and learn and solve problems independently.
• Eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Nice to have

• Platform engineering or MLOps experience.
• Experience evolving proofs of concept into scalable production-quality solutions.
• AWS certification.
