Principal Data/AI Engineering

Location: Full-time onsite role in Middletown, New Jersey, or Plano, Texas; performed from the designated work location five days per week. No relocation is offered.

Salary: $174,100–$261,100 USD annually.

What you will do

• Support and optimize enterprise AI and data platforms for reliable, scalable, and secure AI-driven operations.
• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, platform automation, AI workflows, and operational processes.
• Monitor platform health and data quality while supporting production systems and continuous improvement.
• Operationalize AI capabilities with data scientists, AI engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders.
• Improve platform performance and deliver business value through data-driven innovation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML operations, platform engineering, analytics engineering, or related technology disciplines.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale AI, machine learning, and data platforms in production.
• Strong knowledge of AI platforms, AI tooling, and MLOps frameworks.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, data integration solutions, and AI workflows.
• Proficiency with cloud-based data and AI ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with model deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data engineering technologies.
• Experience with structured, unstructured, and streaming data environments.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, troubleshooting, production support, operational excellence, and continuous improvement skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is preferred; relevant cloud, AI, data engineering, or platform certifications may be required based on business needs.
