Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Medical Devices)

Location: USA - New Hampshire - Salem; office and manufacturing environment

hirify.global MEDICAL designs, engineers, and manufactures complex medical components and technologies for surgical, minimally invasive, interventional, endoscopy, pulmonology, and other medical-device applications.

What you will do

• Support manufacturing optimization for extrusion, balloon processing, and sub-assembly processes under the direction of an experienced process and product engineer.
• Gather project-based data during sample production runs and perform data analysis.
• Support complaint investigations, product testing, engineering change control, and drawing or modeling activities.
• Help set up or run equipment for new and existing products to advance polymer-processing knowledge.
• Present learning outcomes and performance improvements by the end of the internship program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned while following quality, safety, and procedural requirements.

Requirements

• High-performing, rising junior or senior college/university student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Engineering.
• Knowledge or experience in statistical and tolerance analysis.
• Basic computer, data retrieval, and data analysis skills.
• Attention to detail, willingness to learn and contribute, project-management ability, and a results-oriented approach.
• Ability to comply with all quality-system, safety, and procedural requirements after training.
• Ability to perform the essential duties in an office and manufacturing environment, with reasonable accommodation available for individuals with disabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with polymer processing, including through a previous internship.
