Accounting Manager (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid, 4 days per week in the Seattle office, United States

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and other team-specific awards.

What you will do

• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including timelines, task assignments, reviews, sign-off, and reporting accuracy.
• Research and document US GAAP technical accounting memos covering ASC 606 revenue recognition, lease accounting, and R&D capitalization.
• Prepare year-end US GAAP financial statements and footnotes.
• Coordinate external audit requests, research issues, and drive resolutions.
• Maintain the integrity of key accounting processes and internal controls while identifying efficiency improvements.
• Lead accounting projects from scoping through implementation, documentation, and training, and complete special projects for the Finance lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably combining professional services or public accounting with high-growth company experience.
• CPA highly preferred.
• Hands-on ASC 606 experience with subscription revenue; SaaS experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Experience defining, implementing, and managing new processes, with the ability to use technology to improve and scale them.
• Demonstrated experience serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Ability to explain technical accounting clearly to non-finance audiences in writing and in person.
