Senior Project Manager (Payments)

What you will do

• Lead high-complexity, business-critical payments projects from discovery and scoping through execution, rollout, stabilization, and closure.
• Define project outcomes, scope, business cases, delivery approaches, integrated plans, milestones, dependencies, owners, and acceptance criteria.
• Drive execution, governance, risk and dependency management, scope control, stakeholder alignment, and senior-level decision-making.
• Coordinate impacts across payout execution, reconciliation, accounting, cash management, exception handling, recovery, controls, systems, and operations.
• Lead business validation, user acceptance testing, readiness planning, pilots, phased rollouts, cutovers, post-launch stabilization, and operational handover.
• Track benefits and outcomes, support change adoption and lessons learned, and contribute to Finance portfolio governance and prioritization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5–8 years of relevant project management experience, including independent ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives through implementation and operational handover.
• Demonstrated experience delivering payments-related projects involving payment operations, partner or merchant payouts, settlement, reconciliation, or related financial processes.
• Experience working across Finance, operational, and technology teams in a large, international organization.
• Strong command of project planning, governance, risk and dependency management, change control, resource planning, and benefits tracking.
• Working understanding of end-to-end payment flows and their operational and financial implications, with the ability to translate specialist input into requirements, risks, and delivery decisions.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
• Strong analytical judgment, communication, workshop facilitation, ambiguity management, and hands-on problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with global payments rollouts, payment or payout model changes, or payment operations transformation.
• Familiarity with Finance Order to Cash processes and interfaces between payments, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, and Risk.
• Experience delivering change with Product and Engineering teams using Agile or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence; PMP, Agile project management, or equivalent certification.
