Communications Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Own Cohere’s German communications strategy, aligning corporate priorities, business objectives, product innovation, executive visibility, and technical differentiation.
• Translate AI innovations and customer success stories into locally relevant narratives for German-speaking audiences.
• Lead proactive media engagement and newsjacking in collaboration with EMEA Communications and Government Affairs.
• Develop strategic messaging, thought leadership, media opportunities, and executive visibility programs for German leadership and spokespeople.
• Use customer- and partner-led storytelling to strengthen local relationships and showcase German customer outcomes.
• Coordinate German crisis and issues communications, including risk anticipation and response strategies.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in B2B communications in DACH, or technical content, ideally in AI, enterprise software, or developer-focused environments.
• Ability to translate complex topics into different languages without losing nuance.
• Experience managing PR agencies in the German market.
• Experience or strong interest in policy and regulatory communications, particularly in the German and EU regulatory environment.
• Experience running communications strategies for the DACH region.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, project management skills, and bias for action.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and working in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
• Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and drive clarity, consistency, and alignment.
