Senior Communications Manager (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany; full-time hybrid role with office attendance 2–3 days per week and remote work for the rest of the week.

Salary: €95,500 annual salary at Senior Manager level; €83,500 annual salary at Manager level.

What you will do

• Lead communications in Germany and act as the public spokesperson across TV, radio, print media, and live events.
• Turn petitions into national moments through viral campaigns combining media, social media, video, creators, stunts, petition handovers, and public events.
• Identify compelling petition-starter stories and credible voices, and secure visibility for them.
• Build and maintain relationships with German journalists, editors, producers, politicians, decision makers, civil society organizations, and creators.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing communications team; at Senior Manager level, set team objectives and shift resources as priorities change.
• Build AI and agentic workflows for story identification, campaign planning, media pitching, and results reporting.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in communications, campaigning, political communications, a newsroom, or an agency.
• 3+ years of people leadership at Senior Manager level; Manager-level candidates with mentoring experience and ambition to lead a team are also considered.
• Proven national campaign experience in Germany that generated significant public attention and media coverage.
• Experience representing an organization as a spokesperson in national broadcast and/or print media.
• Track record of viral campaigns that created measurable public-attention spikes online and offline.
• Fast, high-quality execution with the ability to pivot rapidly in changing contexts.
• Trusted relationships with German journalists, editors, and producers, ideally including key decision makers, plus connections across politics and civil society, including conservative and centre-right circles.
• Leadership presence, media training, confidence under pressure, and the ability to handle tough interviews, crisis situations, and politically sensitive questions.
• Hands-on experience using AI in communications or campaigning, including building or improving AI workflows and automations.
• Native-level German (C2) and professional English.
