Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own products end-to-end, from ambiguous requirements through production systems.
• Spend approximately 60–70% of the role coding and 30–40% on architecture and client meetings.
• Build and iterate backends, frontends, data pipelines, and AI systems.
• Translate unclear client requests into scoped systems with clear data models, interfaces, and production paths.
• Lead code reviews, documentation, architecture decisions, pairing, and technical knowledge sharing.
• Work independently while collaborating directly with clients and the founder.

Requirements

• 5+ years shipping production systems owned end-to-end.
• Production experience with Python backends and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontends, including technologies such as React and Next.js.
• Architecture-minded approach to performance, scalability, reliability, API design, testing, maintainability, and engineering tradeoffs.
• Ability to work successfully in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and deliver without micromanagement.
• Ability to test edge cases, document decisions, and think through technical implications.
• Ability to work directly with clients, identify their underlying needs, and create practical plans.
• Experience informally leading others through reviews, pairing, or project ownership.
• Ability to use AI productively while avoiding excessive technical debt and retaining strong software engineering fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Background in data engineering or building on messy enterprise data.
• Prior client-facing experience.
• Exposure to finance, private equity, or credit.
