Head of Procurement - Direct Material

Location: Göteborg, Sweden. The position requires passing security vetting under current security-protection regulations; additional citizenship obligations may apply where security clearance is required.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Procurement delivery organization at site level through managers.
• Represent Procurement in management forums and build effective partnerships with Production, Planning, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Drive supplier and procurement performance across delivery, cost, quality, and supply resilience, including escalation of critical supplier matters.
• Develop people, capabilities, capacity, resource planning, and organizational effectiveness.
• Support prioritization, organizational readiness, continuous improvement, and future business growth.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a similar area.
• Experience leading other managers and larger organizational units.
• Strong organizational development and change leadership capability.
• Experience working closely with Production, Planning, Operations, or other business-critical functions.
• Good understanding of workforce planning, capability development, and resource management.
• Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams and managers.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build partnerships across Procurement leadership and jointly drive performance, priorities, resource allocation, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, or similarly complex environments.
