HPC Customer Workload Optimization Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

Annual salary: €72,030–€130,300.

What you will do

• Lead technical strategy and architectural design for software solutions serving customers, ecosystem partners, and open-source projects.
• Design end-to-end solutions combining software and hardware innovation to address workload and ecosystem challenges.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, ecosystem readiness, performance, scalability, and adoption opportunities.
• Define software frameworks, system architectures, protocols, algorithms, validation methods, and optimization approaches.
• Engage with customers to understand workload requirements, identify gaps, and deliver hirify.global Architecture-based solutions.
• Collaborate with hirify.global engineering teams, technologists, industry stakeholders, and open-source communities to influence roadmaps and technical direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with 4+ years of experience; or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience; or a PhD in a relevant field.
• Experience in software development, software architecture, performance engineering, or system optimization.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, frameworks, protocols, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in one or more of C++, Python, or Java.
• Experience designing and delivering scalable software solutions.
• Knowledge of software validation, performance analysis, and optimization techniques.
• Ability to collaborate across technical teams and customer environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center, cloud, AI, or high-performance computing workloads.
• Familiarity with Linux-based software development and performance profiling tools.
• Experience with open-source communities and ecosystem partners.
• Strong technical communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence technical direction across organizations.
• Interest in solving complex system-level challenges and driving innovation.
