IT Compliance Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Richmond, Virginia 23227; hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Salary: $50–$55/hour on W-2.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain compliance programs for groups of applications or systems.
• Participate in compliance projects and develop effective processes, procedures, policies, and controls.
• Collect, assemble, review, and interpret procedural and technical documentation and compliance-related data for audits, investigations, and evidence gathering.
• Identify control and process failure points, support investigations, and develop remediation plans.
• Raise awareness of current and upcoming policies, regulations, and requirements.
• Support training and information-sharing sessions while collaborating with compliance analysts and internal departments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of directly related experience in IT audit or compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity.
• Understanding of IT regulatory standards and requirements, cybersecurity principles, access management, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks such as NERC CIP, SOX, NIST, or similar.
• Ability to document and update IT controls for compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases, including querying, analyzing, and validating data for compliance, audit, and reporting activities.
• Understanding of relational database concepts, database structures, and data integrity principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, including under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire and aptitude to learn technical compliance concepts.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in a regulated industry or IT compliance role.
