IT Security Analyst 3 (Vulnerability Management)

Location: Dimondale, Michigan, USA; hybrid work with two office days per week from the start. Candidates must currently live within a commutable distance of no more than 1–1.5 hours and must attend onsite interviews at the Dimondale office. Relocation candidates are not being considered.

What you will do

• Plan, schedule, implement, and maintain scalable vulnerability scans using modern vulnerability management scanning tools for high-complexity devices.
• Troubleshoot scanning issues while ensuring safe, timely scans with minimal or no impact on targets.
• Support vulnerability management scanning and reporting tools and conduct internal vulnerability audits of servers, network devices, applications, and other devices.
• Interface with internal and external auditors and provide detailed information on remediation efforts.
• Integrate vulnerability management data with other State of Michigan enterprise services and analyze structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
• Recommend improvements to security posture, conduct trend analysis, create scripted dashboards and performance metrics, develop management reports, and escalate issues as appropriate.

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT security experience.
• Experience with vulnerability management scanning and reporting tools.
• Experience with trend analysis and creating dashboards using data scripting to provide performance metrics.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Must be currently local within a commutable distance of no more than 1–1.5 hours from the Dimondale office.
• Must be willing to attend face-to-face onsite interviews; virtual interviews will not be requested.
• Required pre-screening questions must be completed at submission for consideration.
