Thesis – Power Consumption Data Collection and Visualization for Network Devices

Location: Lund, Sweden; on-site. The thesis is open only to students affiliated with a Swedish University/College directly or through an exchange program.

What you will do

• Investigate, design, and implement a solution for making power consumption data accessible during automated regression testing and product development.
• Read PoE measurement data from a power measurement board through a serial interface.
• Provide a simple, well-defined interface for automated tests and development tools.
• Minimize physical connections and configuration steps in the test environment.
• Integrate collected data with existing data collection systems for storage, visualization, and analysis in tools such as Apache Superset.

Requirements

• Be a Master or Bachelor student in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Development, or a related field.
• Be affiliated with a Swedish University/College directly or through an exchange program.
• Submit a CV and University/College grade summary.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of embedded Linux, serial communication, data engineering, or data visualization.
