Working Student (f/m/d) Embedded Network Software Engineer (Automotive Ethernet)

Location: Hamburg, Germany; hybrid setup possible

What you will do

• Develop embedded software for configuring Ethernet switches.
• Create demonstrators and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Validate test setups and automate test environments with scripting solutions.
• Benchmark and analyze automotive Ethernet devices.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, preferably with coursework in embedded systems and communication networks.
• Experience with C and C++ or another object-oriented programming language, plus scripting languages such as Python.
• Experience programming and debugging 32-bit Arm microcontrollers.
• Solid understanding of Ethernet protocols and TCP/IP communication.
• Basic understanding of laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and function generators.
• Proactive team-player mindset and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work consciously and reliably on security-related tasks that may be within the scope of security certifications.
