Finance Manager

What you will do

• Own the UK balance sheet, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and financial analysis.
• Manage treasury activities, bank and intercompany reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and working capital controls.
• Prepare UK VAT returns, support HMRC audits and enquiries, and assist with corporate tax, employment tax, and statutory compliance.
• Review payroll accounting and employee expenses, oversee the Concur expenses process, and improve travel and expense controls.
• Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, stock provisions, and operational finance controls.
• Coordinate the UK statutory audit, support internal audit and SOX control testing, and contribute to finance transformation across UK and European operations.

Requirements

• Hands-on finance experience capable of operating in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with UK balance sheet management, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS102) and Group accounting policies.
• Experience with UK VAT returns, HMRC enquiries, statutory compliance, payroll accounting, and expenses management.
• Experience supporting external audit, internal audit, risk assessment, control testing, and SOX-compliant controls.
• Ability to investigate and resolve intercompany, inventory, customer, supplier, and balance sheet discrepancies.
• Ability to build effective relationships with operational, commercial, shared service, and Group Finance teams.
