Senior Commercial Procurement BP

Location: London, United Kingdom — hybrid, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office and Thursday as the team day; additional office attendance may be required for business needs.

Salary: £75,000–£95,000 per annum, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

What you will do

• Lead the commercial procurement agenda for a broad hirify.global Commercial portfolio and translate business priorities into a prioritised procurement plan and forward pipeline.
• Lead complex sourcing, negotiation, renewal, renegotiation and supplier exit activities, balancing cost, risk, supplier dependency and business priorities.
• Own commercial outcomes, savings and value delivery across the portfolio, monitoring progress with Finance and business stakeholders.
• Develop major category strategies using spend analysis, market insight and supplier intelligence to identify opportunities.
• Coordinate Procurement, Risk and Supplier Management, InfoSec, Data Protection, Legal, Finance and other specialist teams to support compliant and responsible decisions.
• Lead, manage and develop commercial procurement managers and business partners through clear objectives, coaching, feedback and performance management.

Requirements

• Significant senior-mid level procurement or commercial experience, including developing portfolio or category strategies and delivering measurable benefits across complex organisations and third-party or supplier spend.
• Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills, including complex sourcing and contractual decisions, trade-off assessment and competing-priority management.
• Experience building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and influencing decisions through clear communication, constructive challenge and sound judgement.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and develop a team, set direction, allocate resources, support performance and provide constructive feedback in a collaborative and inclusive way.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using spend data and market insight to shape plans.
• Sound understanding of procurement governance and risk in a regulated environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in media, broadcasting, content production or another complex creative environment.
• Experience working across multiple business areas or leading a significant category across an organisation.
• Professional procurement qualification such as MCIPS, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience supporting organisational change or developing procurement capability and ways of working.
