Data Scientist III (Machine Learning)

Location: 6701 Center Dr W, Ste E_h, Los Angeles, CA 90045, United States; onsite, full-time.

Salary: $108,000–$216,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Develop analytical and predictive models using internal and external data sources.
• Build, code, test, document, and maintain analytical software tools and reusable algorithms.
• Apply exploratory data analysis, cohort analysis, causal inference, and statistical modeling to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies.
• Present data insights and recommendations to stakeholders and translate analytical results into business actions.
• Collaborate with project teams and business partners to define goals, select modeling approaches, direct analysis, and validate results.
• Coach and mentor analysts while helping cross-functional teams develop platforms from prototyping through production.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; OR a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of these fields plus 2 years of experience in analytics or a related field.
• Experience coding in Python and building product proofs of concept, including machine-learning-based solutions and feature engineering.
• Experience with SQL development, including ETL processes, complex queries, temporary tables, window functions, and user-defined functions.
• Experience with BI tools and visualization libraries.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with version-control tools for building robust, debuggable, and trackable scripts.
• Experience with cloud environments, including AzureML.
• Experience with exploratory data analysis, cohort analysis, and causal inference methods.
• Experience helping cross-functional teams develop a platform from prototyping to production. Any amount of experience with the required skills is accepted.
