System Integration Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Metzingen / Riederich, Germany; on-site.

What you will do

• Plan, build, review, and operate integrations that enable reliable and efficient data exchange between business systems.
• Assess and approve authentication concepts for automated systems and integrations, and sign off on implementations.
• Ensure data exchanges meet security and data protection requirements, supporting technical GDPR questions.
• Advise and steer data migration projects from scoping through cutover with IT teams and business departments.
• Act as the Azure and Entra ID expert for integration topics and contribute early to new projects.

Requirements

• Vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration, a degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of hands-on experience in IT system integration, such as interface projects using APIs or middleware.
• Hands-on experience in data migration projects.
• Solid practical experience with Microsoft Azure and Entra ID, including app registrations, service principals, and managed identities.
• Understanding of automated-system authentication, including OAuth 2.0, certificates, and secrets handling, with the ability to judge production readiness.
• Working knowledge of GDPR from a technical perspective.
• Ability to explain security decisions to non-security colleagues and propose workable alternatives.
• Ownership of assigned topics through completion.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and German, with German at C1 level.

Nice to have

• Microsoft certifications in Azure or Entra ID.
• Background in robotics or industrial environments.
