Principal Consultant - Senior Product Owner

Location: Hybrid — New York, New York, United States

What you will do

• Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and technology needs.
• Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements, translating them into user stories, workflows, and technical specifications.
• Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments, analyze existing systems, and recommend technical improvements or integrations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, developers, testers, and product owners to design scalable solutions and ensure requirements are understood.
• Act as the liaison between business and technical teams, facilitating workshops, meetings, reports, dashboards, and solution-design discussions.
• Define UAT test cases, support implementation troubleshooting, and help transition solutions to production through documentation and training.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of software development, databases, APIs, cloud computing, system integration, and the software development life cycle.
• Ability to break down complex business problems, identify root causes, and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments with product owners, developers, and testers, including Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with SQL, JIRA, Confluence, API documentation using Postman or Swagger, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, or data analytics projects.
• CBAP, CSPO, or Agile certifications.
