Logistics Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Florida, United States. U.S. citizenship is required.

What you will do

• Receive customer equipment and materials, document custody transfers, inspect for damage, and resolve or escalate work-request issues.
• Enter and maintain accurate work-request and status data in the laboratory Work Control System.
• Move incoming and completed equipment and materials between customer, logistics, laboratory, shop, and warehouse areas.
• Operate vehicles to pick up and deliver materials, supplies, components, and equipment across Kennedy Space Center.
• Order laboratory supplies, update receiving records, issue shop stock, and maintain required inventory levels.
• Identify vendors, obtain pricing, initiate procurement requests, and maintain required certifications, licenses, and permits.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in scheduling, shipping and receiving, customer support, material planning, or related work.
• Working knowledge of computer operating systems and standard applications.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Safe driving record.

• Current, valid CDL.
