Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States.

Estimated base salary: $160K–$260K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build AI agents for real-time workforce management that monitor support volume, staffing, and performance and recommend or take operational actions.
• Combine live operational data, historical patterns, customer-specific policies, and Workforce Management platform capabilities to give agents the context and tools needed for reliable decisions.
• Design control and observability layers that show what an agent sees, why it recommends an action, and when it should act autonomously.
• Evolve the Workforce Operations product for increasingly real-time and automated workflows at customer scale.
• Own problems end-to-end, from understanding workforce decisions to implementing data models, systems, and customer-facing product experiences.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building software products.
• End-to-end product delivery experience, including taking a product from idea to production and explaining product and technical tradeoffs and customer response.
• Strong generalist ability, with willingness to move across the stack and learn new domains quickly.
• Ability to turn ambiguous product, technical architecture, or abstraction problems into working software and real outcomes.
• Attention to reliability, edge cases, noisy data, and the real-world effects of software-driven decisions.
• Strong product judgment, including understanding user goals and shaping the right solution rather than only implementing requirements.
• High attention to product and implementation details.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI agents or AI-powered products, including evaluation, observability, tool use, guardrails, or user trust in autonomous systems.
• Experience with real-time or data-intensive products where fresh data, reliability, and changing signals are important.
