Architect, Professional Services (GCP)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; Calgary, AB, Canada; Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; or Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Base pay: CAD 120,800–151,000 annually, plus 14% target incentives.

What you will do

• Collaborate with sales teams and customers to understand business requirements and design comprehensive technology solutions.
• Provide technical expertise during presales, including presentations, demonstrations, and proposal development.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of cloud solutions, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Explain complex architectures, integrations, and project updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure cloud solutions meet security and compliance best practices while maintaining project documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and help build the Google Cloud practice through new solutions, skills development, and internal collaboration.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience leveraging Google Cloud solutions and services.
• Proven successful project contributions in technology consulting or software development.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP cloud services, microservices including Kubernetes, and enterprise integration.
• Experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Advanced infrastructure-as-code proficiency and expertise in at least one of Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Advanced scripting or programming proficiency and expertise in at least one of Python, JavaScript, Bash, or Java.
• In-depth knowledge of at least one IT discipline: networking, security, hardware, or software.
• Expert understanding of DevOps culture, methodologies, and tooling, with at least 5 years using and managing tools such as Ansible, Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Docker.
