Software Engineer (Elixir/Rust)

Location: Hybrid in Slovenia, for candidates residing in Slovenia and within commuting distance of the Ljubljana-based office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deliver software that meets functional, performance, and security requirements.
• Own assigned product areas from design through delivery and work independently on moderately complex tasks.
• Collaborate with peers, product managers, QA, DevOps, and other teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Debug issues across the full stack, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
• Document designs and dependencies, communicate progress and tradeoffs, and improve systems and engineering practices.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as C#, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Willingness to learn the team's stack on the job.
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable production code.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional engineering teams using agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elixir or other functional programming languages, Rust, C++, Java, or Objective-C.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to systems or infrastructure-level programming.
• Background in IT, endpoint management, or enterprise software.
