Cybersecurity Analyst

What you will do

• Operate vulnerability and external attack surface scanning, monitor tool coverage and health, and identify unknown, unmanaged, or misconfigured internet-facing assets.
• Triage, validate, and prioritize findings using severity, exploitability, threat intelligence, and asset criticality while filtering false positives.
• Identify asset owners and raise, track, and follow up remediation tickets against agreed SLAs.
• Support penetration testing by collecting scope details, scheduling tests, tracking findings through remediation, and coordinating retests.
• Monitor newly exploited vulnerabilities, assess their impact on organizational assets, and escalate high-risk or contested exposures to the Senior Analyst.
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and produce dashboards and KPI reports covering exposure, aging, and SLA adherence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in IT or information security.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Experience with vulnerability management and scanning tools, External Attack Surface Management (EASM), threat intelligence platforms or feeds, and IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing.
• Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, and TLS; Windows and Linux; web applications; and cloud basics.
• Understanding of CVSS, EPSS, known-exploited vulnerability catalogs, and OWASP Top 10.
• CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA CySA+ certification, or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).

Nice to have

• Exposure to CSPM/CNAPP, Exposure Management or CTEM platforms, scripting with Python or PowerShell, and spreadsheet or BI reporting.
• CompTIA PenTest+, eJPT, CEH, or a cloud fundamentals security certification.
