Strategic Advisory Services Principal Consultant (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in Brazil; Mexico also available as a remote location. Travel to clients up to 30% of the time, often with less than three weeks’ notice.

What you will do

• Deliver large and complex strategic advisory engagements for management-level customers across industries.
• Assess and develop cybersecurity and incident response programs to improve organizational security maturity.
• Develop scenarios that exercise customers’ response capabilities.
• Prepare and deliver written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings to customer management.
• Identify emerging cybersecurity trends using government and private-sector perspectives.
• Contribute thought leadership, methodologies, and experience to internal programs and teams.

Requirements

• 4–10 years of experience in one or more of IT or security management consulting, security program development, security analysis or operations, business strategy or risk analysis, cybersecurity policy, or public and government affairs.
• Experience with technical and operational cybersecurity, including security controls, architecture, organizational alignment, and policy review.
• Experience developing, managing, or implementing security programs, potentially including SOC, CSIRT, Fusion Center, or centralized security initiatives.
• Experience communicating security analysis and results to senior leaders.
• Experience developing or improving organizational risk frameworks and applying them to cyber risks.
• Experience developing cybersecurity policies, plans, or playbooks and transitioning them into practice.
• Significant experience helping government organizations or government-adjacent entities establish cybersecurity priorities and communicate them across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, relationship-building, independent strategic analysis, time management across multiple projects, and a consistently positive professional attitude.
• Willingness and ability to travel to clients up to 30% of the time.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, information security, information assurance, cybersecurity, cybersecurity policy, public policy, intelligence studies, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree.
• Relevant military or work experience and/or training in place of a degree.
