Application Engineer V (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; travel required 10% of the time; relocation eligible.

Salary: $163,000–$224,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead product application roadmaps based on customer technologies, critical gaps, and product direction.
• Technically lead complex application activities, projects, and field execution teams from planning through implementation.
• Create and lead customer-site beta testing, evaluations, and demonstrations, including statements of work and execution schedules.
• Define customer technical requirements through analysis and understanding of the product roadmap.
• Develop methodologies to optimize system performance for specific applications.
• Identify needs, develop and transfer new application capabilities from product divisions to customer application support teams, and lead technical review meetings.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of customer technologies and application requirements.
• Regarded as a technical expert in a particular field, with in-depth or broad expertise in the discipline and broad knowledge of related disciplines.
• Ability to anticipate business and regulatory issues and recommend product, process, or service improvements.
• Experience leading projects with notable risk and complexity and developing execution strategies.
• Ability to solve unique and complex problems with broad business impact through conceptual and innovative thinking.
• Ability to influence program, project, or service direction and resource allocation within functional policies and industry guidelines.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas, anticipate objections, and persuade senior stakeholders to adopt different points of view.
